Breathing Shrine is a psychedelic/noise/drone band from Melbourne Australia. After touring the USA twice as a duo under the name of Grey Daturas, performing alongside bands such as Om, Circle, Cul De Sac, Wolf Eyes, Sunn O))), Mammatus, Jack Rose, Jackie O Motherfucker, Marissa Nadler, and Yellow Swans, Bonnie Mercer (guitar) and Rob Mayson (bass & drums) decided to continue under the new name of Breathing Shrine to distinguish their new dynamic from that of Grey Daturas.
